BEHIND THE LENS
My name is Thomas Smak. I'm a 23-year old photographer located in the Metro-Detroit area. Ever since I was a child, I've been fascinated with the idea of capturing a moment in time through the use of a camera. As I grew older, I became more and more serious about photographry, then one day I realized that I want to do this for the rest of my life.
Over the last six years, I've dedicated myself to the art and lifestyle of a freelance photographer. Words cannot describe the happiness and knowledge I've gained in the process. Only through my photographs can you get an understanding of where I've been, who I am, what I feel. At all times, I look at everything as if I'm seeing it through the viewfinder of a camera. To me, this is a beautiful way to live. My passion is photography.
